Chupacabra Artwork Exposed
Mexican Painter Professor Carlos G. Gomez created an exhibit titled
"The Chupacabra Chronicles … Exposed."
The chupacabra, or goat-sucker, is a creature believed to inhabit the Americas. It is not portrayed as a monster in Gomez's artwork; instead, it's given humanistic traits. The creature comes in different forms and meshes with humans in the artwork.
"I didn't do the monster, I sort of humanized it and I took it and I depicted it as a creature doing things that humans do," Gomez said. "In the show you will see some actually just posing for you, other ones are talking to each other, some are harvesting fruit."
